Breast Cancer Awareness Month: What Every Survivor Should Know

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a time to recognize the strength of everyone who has faced this diagnosis and to shine a light on prevention, early detection, and support. In the U.S., about 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. The good news: when caught early, five-year survival rates are high, and treatment continues to improve every year.

At Geaux Fight, breast cancer recovery is close to our hearts — in fact, roughly 60-70% of the patients we treat are navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. Our Breast Cancer Rehabilitation program walks alongside you through surgery, treatment, and beyond, helping you rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence. This month, we are honoring every survivor and thriver in our community. Do more than Survive. Thrive.
